Description

At 17.5 hours under a 94-98% moon and Bortle 6, I wonder what was more disturbing, but I think it was the neighbor shining light into my telescope. In the photo, we can see the emission nebula NGC 7380, which is located in the constellation Cepheus. It is a young open cluster, where stars formed about 4 million years ago. The nebula was named the "Wizard" due to its characteristic shape, which resembles a wizard's robe.NGC 7380 Nebula is located approximately 7.2 thousand light-years away from Earth. It is a young open cluster containing around 200 stars. The brightest stars in the cluster belong to the O and B types, indicating that they are very massive and hot.The nebula is powered by the radiation from these stars. The gas in the nebula is heated to very high temperatures, causing it to emit light in various colors. In the photo, we mainly see light in the red color, which is emitted by hydrogen.
