Description

Jupiter this morning. Io is almost transitting the disc of Jupiter. It's shadow is already there. The GRS is also visible.

This was my first night imaging Jupiter using my EdgeHD 800. Previously I shot the planets manually with my SW Flextube 250P.

Early on in the night Jupiter was still low and the seeing was bad. Later, here in this image, at 30 degrees a lot was visible.

All in all, I'm quite pleased with this attempt. Can't wait 'till the timing and altitude are better in a few months.

Description: Reprocessed the whole image, resulting in a bit more details in the clouds, but also more color fringing near the planet edge.
