Description

The Crab Nebula in Taurus: A supernova remnant from the year 1054, described by Chinese astronomers back then as a "guest star", visible also during daytime. At the center of the nebula lies a neutron star, some 30 kilometres across with a spin rate of 30.2 rotations per seconds, emitting large quantities of radiation.
