Description

Yesterday evenings result of Mars during a couple of hours of clear skies in the Netherlands, after weeks of fog and a thick low cloud cover. The day after the opposition, even the seeing was good, perfect timing. Sometimes things just work out well together :-)
This was shot at 20:45 UTC. Lots of interesting details can be see, such as the Marineris valley on the east side of the equator. Down on the right the Lowel crater, and on the upper left Olympus Mons. There are some clouds around the North pole en also on the souther hemisphere some haze can be seen.
I recorded a total of 129,000 frames in a period of 19 minutes. I recorded 2 minutes each time and later joined those together using Pipp and the resulting ser I then de-rotated using Winjupos video derotation.
Setup: 16''/f4.5 Explore Scientific Dobson, 3x barlow, ADC & ASI462MC camera.
Nabewerking: Pipp, Winjupos video derotatie, AS!3, LuckyStackWorker & Gimp.
