Description

Jones 1 (not Jones-Emberson 1)

This PN was discovered by Rebecca Jones in 1941. This is a very faint object of 15.62 mag in Pegasus. It sizes 5' 31".

I wanted to image something less often imaged and bring something different up. Actually it has a very small, but nice Ha flare on the right hand side. This is very often overlooked, since many APs only take O3 narrow band images of it. But in total in has a nice Ha emission.

The data was acquired over three nights.

I hope you like it. Please enjoy!

CS Rüdiger

Update: Central Star
Based on Stefan's question below, I have found the answer, which was give by @Big_Dipper  in his image from Jones 1: https://www.astrobin.com/full/9kgzq3/C/
It is actually the bright blue star in the center: 3UC241-308979; 15.5 mag measured
Sometimes the answer is too obvious
