Description

M22 was one of the first targets I ever imaged back after I bought a Canon EOS 6D in 2018.   Now almost everything about how I image has improved so I've been coming back to some of those original targets to see how my skills have improved.

Only 51x30" images in the integration with 50 Flats, corrected by a master bias frame and no darks.  I won't say darks are useless but after experimenting I found that a master dark is virtually indistinguishable from the master bias until you start getting upwards of 5 minute exposures.  For 30 sec - use that time to capture more light frames.

Globulars are surprisingly tough to do well - they are easy to over expose in the core and the stars are so tightly packed that any type of sharpening or NR causes some pretty obvious processing artifacts.
