In catalogues the Methuselah Nebula (PN G080-10.4) is 9 arc minutes by 13 arc minutes in size. This two panel mosaic of Sh2-110 and the Methuselah spans 320 x 190 arc minutes. The extended Oxygen III, cyan colored shell around the planetary nebula is perhaps half the vertical dimension or around 100 arc minutes — nearly an order of magnitude larger than the catalogue value that accounts for only the central object. This could be one of the largest planetaries in the sky if confirmed that the shell is indeed from a previous eruption from the same dying star at the center.

Even deeper exposures in narrowband OIII would help confirm this object (help!). Spectroscopic data would be great too.

There is another small round planetary nebula, PN G079.8-10.2 just above Methuselah.

This is a two-panel mosaic. Hydrogen-alpha red, Oxygen III cyan, and Sulfur II yellow (very little of it). Stars reduced in AstroPixelProcessor.
