Description

My first attempt to produce an SHO in the Hubble Palette.

The Wizard Nebula (NGC7380) is an open cluster star forming region in the located in the constellation of Cepheus. An open cluster is a stellar nursery where the stars are not gravitational bound as compared to a globular cluster where stars of gravitationally bound. These stars in the open cluster will gradually travel away from each other as in another famous cluster the Pleiades. The nebula is 7,200 light years away in our own Milky Way galaxy. The active star forming region measures approximately 100 light years across.
