The star Alfecca Meridiana is also known as Alpha Coronae Australis. The Arabic name for this star is something like Bright Star Of the Broken Ring—referencing the asterism "Corona Australis" or Southern Crown. (U. Illinois).

This image was purchased pre-calibrated. It was a flawed data set with insufficient (sometimes zero) overlap between the mosaic elements. Several  patches had as few 2 usable subframes in a particular color, and  none had more than 4. Given those problematic issues, Panorama Studio did a surprisingly good job of hiding these inherent defects and gave me fruther experience at mosicing. BUT, this was a free data set for iTelescope subscribers…so how much complaining can one do, reasonably, that is.

The area certainly has much to offer in picture complexity and interest.
