I pushed my backyard imaging too far this time 😂 ...as this nebula is to the south towards San Fernando valley (“valley girls”) and downtown LA (33 miles away). SQM in this direction is 16.90 to 17.05 😩 which is Bortle 9++ It is amazing that I got anything at all. I stretched the hell out of this angel but was unable to pull out any of the wonderful dust that abounds. My framing was to include the moon with clouds object LBN990. This was also a test of the new Antlia Quad light pollution filter. I started imaging this target in December with the Antlia Triband RGB filter but the result was terrible. The Quad is definitely a better light pollution filter for us on the edge. With all the clouds this winter I was lucky to get the 13 hours. Seems I was at the diminishing returns point also. I'm giving myself an “A” for effort!

Oh, about the vertical lines...I'm clueless, but think it might be stationary satellites? They are very faint but present in all subs across almost a full month in exactly same position. -john
