Description

Part 1: Saw a lovely image by Eric Coles of the new supernova Sn2021hiz so loaded the details into SGPros framing and mosaic wizard and IC2233 a small needle galaxy appeared along with a bright area where the supernova is( my internal alarm bell should've rung then.)

So here is IC2233 with what I thought was the Sn, It's only a foreground star though.

Part 2: Having compared my image and Eric's I noticed nothing around both galaxies matched the large star close to IC2233, with it's smaller companion, were not in Eric's image. I googled Sn2021hiz and saw it appears in IC3322A. The naming of both galaxies is strangey coincidental but what is more uncanny is they are both small needle galaxies. The placement by nature of that star in IC2233 is unbelievable, though.

Ic 3322A is very low for my latitude and in the thick atmosphere where my guiding does struggle. The stars are elongated in every sub. At least I got the Sn, if not an accurate version.
