Description

As I now have a bigger scope available to me (A 10" quattro) I started revisting some "old" objects where it's a big advantage to have it. Here's my new rendition of M101. It's amazing to me what level of resolution I can reach with it. I already modified the scope a little with a 3d printed aperture ring to remove the mirror clip shadows and a 3d printed carbon dew shield. One thing that surprises me the most about the new scope is that I always had a fear or constantly needing to take care of collimation. That turned out to be not the case. It was tough learning the mechanics at first but with the help of the ocal collimator it was in the end easy to set up and the scope just holds its collimation for months now when carefully putting it on and off the mount.
