Description

NGC 602 (Nebula/Open Cluster at center of image) and Henize 89 (Nebula to the left with a larger apparent diameter) are located in the Southern constellation Hydrus and is on the eastern side of the Small Magellanic Cloud. NGC 602 was imaged by the Hubble Space Telescope in 2007. Actually NGC 602 denotes the open cluster embedded in the small nebula which is designated N90. It is approximately 196,000 light-years from Earth and has a radius of around 90 light-years. I could not find any information on Henize 89. In fact, I only found 2 images on the internet of both objects in the FOV.

This data is from my dark site at Deep Sky West-Chile shot in HLRGB. I didn't think there was going to be too much when I first started processing it but the more I worked the more interesting it became!

Anyway, hope ya like it!

Tom
