Description

Continuing my imaging of Venus during the 2019-2020 evening apparition...

These images were captured on the night of April 22, 2020 (April 23 in UTC). Venus was ~32% illuminated in this image. The seeing ranged was below average (surprise!) this night.

Imaged with a C8 Evo, ZWO ADC, Baader UV-IR Cut filters, and ZWO ASI224MC. Imaging train was configured to give ~F/20. Image capture using Firecapture (see below for exposure settings). Stacking in AutoStakkert3 (best 10% of ~42000 frames captured over 180 seconds). Color balancing and Wavelet sharpening in Registax6. Derotated and combined three images in WinJUPOS.

Exposure settings for UV-IR Cut Filter images: Shutter=0.5ms, Gain=250, Histogram=~50%, ~250 FPS
