Description

Last week an announcement was made of the discovery of the most luminous quasar of the last 9 billion years, SMSS J1144 in Centaurus, at a red shift of z=0.83 This quasar is approx. 8 times brighter than 3C273 and over 3 times more distant at roughly 7 billion years look back time.
