Target Description:
This image portrays a portion of the Eta Carinae Nebula just south of that triple junction of dark lanes. One pixel in this image spans 5x10^11 km of nebula!

Processing Description:
The original HSO images were mapped to true color and calibrated photometrically, and the stars were removed. From that point forward, I adjusted the colors with differential stretches and color remapping to achieve the tons and hues I wanted for this image. Keeping the saturation low reveals more detail, although, admittedly, high saturation generally floats my boat!
