Aurorae over the Devil's Teeth

last week on September 18, 2023 there has been a strong geomagnetic storm, and for the following day forecasts looked still very promising. I currently spent my vacations in Norway, and was keen on witnessing as much aurorae as possible. Since at my location weather predictions were bad that day, i went further north to the island of Senya. There, the Norwegian forecasts predicted clear skies throughout the night. When i arrived however, clear skies were limited to a 10° high stripe in the northern direction, and the remainder was covered completely. Nevertheless i went out, setting up my rig and waiting for the green hue to appear at the northern horizon. Which it finally did. I was able to capture this atmospheric scenery of the aurorae, dancing above Okshornan massif, also called the Devil's Teeth, with some nice reflections in the beach ponds.
Later, the skies opened up and offered some more nicve aurorae, before activity decayed. However, having clouds isn't always a bad thing in aurora photography.

Exposure time was 15s at ISO 400, ILCE-7M4, FE 20mm f/1.8 G
Local time was 21:32 CEST, the sun was 12.5° below horizon (begin of astronomical twilight).

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
