Description

In June of 2021, Astrobiscuit founded the Big Amateur Telescope. Its inspiration arose at the thought of "beating" big Observatories like Kitt Peak with regards to details and sharpness in astrophotography with merely modest, affordable gear. The suggested method being Lucky Imaging.
As the first target, M51, the Whirlpool Galaxy, was chosen. Althought it was off season for M51, no lucky imaging was attempted yet. The goal was to test out file sharing and editing with old datasets from a frequently shot target.
This image contains a combination of several bat member's M51 data.
