Description

The Taurus Molecular Cloud (TMC-1) is an interstellar cloud of gas and dust located in the constellations Taurus and Auriga. The clouds are home to stellar nurseries containing hundreds of newly formed stars. At a distance of only 430 light-years from Earth, it is possibly the closest large star-forming region to us.

This image is another data set I acquired during my most recent trip to my local Bortle 2 site. The Samyang lens was stopped down to f2.8 to improve corner performance and star shapes.
