Description

The Bode Galaxy (also known as M 81 or NGC 3031) is a spiral galaxy located about 12 million light-years from Earth in the northern constellation Ursa Major. The Cigar Galaxy (also known as M 82 or NGC 3034) is an active galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major; it is located about 12 million light years away and is associated with the larger and more famous M81. This is a great example of a starburst galaxy. These two magnificent galaxies were photographed by my friend Francesco Radici. He kindly passed me his files for me to process. This is the result. Hope you like it. Technical data : 204*180s G1600 T-20
