Description

As a first effort in SHO narrowband imaging, the Pelican Nebula proved to be a challenging subject in part because of the broad overlap in Ha and OIII signal.  Also known as IC 5070 and IC 5067, it is adjacent to the North American Nebula in the constellation Cygnus.  Cloudy skies have delayed acquisition of RGB stars, so this particular star field was a HO blend using Pixelmath back into the modified SHO image. I am not satisfied with blend as is, but will have to play with it a bit more to try and scratch the surface of NB processing potential.
