Description

I'm finding RGB processing much more pernickety than NB, but getting there. This may be overcooked for some, but the colourful "baubles" of M81 and M82 are Christmas-appropriate. :-)

Previous experience meant I knew I wanted a boost in Ha especially for M82, so went all the way and captured a bunch of that at the same time.

Basic recipes:

https://www.lightvortexastronomy.com/tutorial-combining-lrgb-with-narrowband.html

Used EZ HDR on Luminance to help resolve M81 core, as well as EZ Decon and EZ Denoise on all channels.

Seemed to be a lot of walking noise in Ha and a little in L, despite dithering. Seemed to come out ok though the combination steps were a lot messier than the underlying channels implied apart from that.

3 nights - approx. totals after Blink culling:

RGB - 1hr each

L - 3hr

Ha - 3.5hr
