Description

Sh2-82, nicknamed the Little Cocoon Nebula, is an infrequently imaged emission nebula located in the constellation Sagitta. It is surrounded by an envelope of reflection nebulosity, and lies adjacent to a streak of dark nebulosity. Sh2-32 lies about 3,600 light years away, sitting at the inner edge of the Orion Arm of the Milky Way. Infrared and radio emissions emanating from the nebula indicate that robust star formation is occurring within it.

Description: Reprocessed from scratch, including 20 subs that were not used in the original integration, and utilizing a significantly different workflow. This version looks less artificial and "over-processed" to my eye than did the first version.
