Description

This is a pair of interacting galaxies in the constellation of Andromeda and about 300 million light years distant.
The larger galaxy, UGC 1810 has been distorted into a beautiful rose shape by it's interaction with the smaller galaxy UC 1813 which is thought to have passed through it.
This was my first light with a new scope, a Ritchey-Chretien 6", 1370mm focal length and f9. This scope is much heavier and more sensitive than what I am used to so it took a while to get everything set up and working properly. Focus is much more sensitive but I used the Bahtinov analyser in NINA which allows very fine focus.
This is about 4 hours of integration so I am quite pleased with the resulting image.
