Description

NGC 1365 is a barred spiral galaxy in the Fornax cluster about 52 Million Light Years away and a diameter of about 205 000 light-years with an apparent magnitude of 10.3 and an apparent size of 11.2 × 6′.2 arc minutes.  It contains a central supermassive black hole in the active nucleus, which has a mass of about 2 million solar masses, rotates at close to the speed of light!

A rare clear but warm night with great seeing did not go to waste and with both rigs running until after 2am. While the Redcat 71 and ASI2600MM CMOS on the AM5 with ASIAir was enjoying the Horsehead, the 127is  on the MYT with it's now vernerable QSI 690 CCD got to deal with NGC 1365. Both performed flawlessly. Touch wood I have no issues with the ZWO ASI setup so far. ASI Air is no where near as flexible as Sequence Generator but it does execute a plan nicely and polar alignment is a joy to use on a mobile setup.

GHS has made a huge difference to my colour processing and the new BlurXterminator AI library 4 while it does need a change to the workflow and a short leash, does an amazing job.
