Description

I used a desaturated version with hover to depict the "Ghost" a little better!

IC 59 and IC 63 are a combination of faint, arc-shaped emission and reflection nebulae, located about 600 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia. Together they are approximately 10 light-years across.

These are generally more difficult to image especially in light polluted skies.

I only used 11 hours of data and am considering dedicating more time to this since more imaging time should give me more detail. However, imaging time is scarce where I reside in Bortle 6/7 skies.

I encourage people to look at the image rendered by Galactic Hunter using a RASA 8 at f/2 in Bortle 2 skies with 10 hours of data*. What a difference fast optics combined with dark skies make!

This is also the first ever image taken with the ASI Air Plus using the ZWO EAF and I will tell you that this made a huge difference in my star results. Of course, it no longer really matters since BlurXTerminator just released V4 which is absolutely incredible and so star  half flux diameter [HFD] is not nearly as critical. I still love my EAF and highly recommend for those serious about the best images possible.
