Description

The Helix Nebula, referred to as the "Eye of God" and as well as the "Eye of Sauron", is located in the constellation Aquarius.
Lies about 655 light years from Earth and one of the closest and brightest planetary nebulae to earth. 
The planetary nebula is formed by the central star shedding its out layers as it approaches the end of its life, eventually destined to become a white dwarf.
