Description

Thought I stray from the popular HSO images of the Horse Head, and venture into the infamous RGBHSOm with a Twist !!

It's been quite sometime since I've posted and image, the weather has not been cooperating, and when it does I don't have much imaging time on this target before it is enveloped in horrible city glow (actually LED flood lights from a football field).

Frustrated and annoyed, I thought I'd try something out of the box. I knew @Alaa El Bedewi had acquired some data of the HH while on a recent desert excursion which i sadly missed.

The full broad band image Alaa took from bortle 2 was breathtaking, which got me thinking of combining his data with mine, particularly to showcase the dust clouds in the region.

Now comes the twist, Alaa uses a Fra600 (at native focal length) in combination with mirrorless OSC (Canon R8), while I use a fra400 and a mono dedicated camera.

And just like others bold astrophotographers doing multi-scope combinations lately, I've lost a few previous hairs and banged my head against the wall a couple of times, but the result was worth it.

Ps. I've attched Alaa's broadband image, stacked , stretched and stars terminated, with no ferther processing, you will see how amazing it looks.
