This is not a revision, but a re-process of the same original files that gave birth to this previous image:
NGC 6188 in SHO - RedCat 51.
I'm putting into practice some new ways of approaching stretching and color masking, but I'm breaking down the process from the beginning.
I like this new version because I was able to be more accurate while generating masks, which in turn allowed me to explore a little bit more of Saturation, especially in the Red. I see that the Ha nebulosity on the corners is less visible, which might indicate I got a little too heavy on enhancing contrast. I also feel that the final hue of the colors give the image some old school vibes, if that makes any sense.
Additionally, I decided to swap the RGB stars and apply the original SHO data instead, which I think brought more consistency across the image texture.
I will now work on a re-process again, and will try to bring forward more background nebulosity and apply more solid colors to the bright areas. Let's see!
