Description

I think this is the best that this data and my skills have to give. 52x30sec light frames, 50 each of dark, flat, and bias; 26 minutes total integration time. The 52 lights were the best from 117 total frames I took. Those farther down the scale (scoring in APP) had tracking problems that showed up as not-quite-round stars. The tracking problems mostly seemed to be R.A., not declination, so a combination of balance and wind-induced vibration, I think.

Conditions: post-typhoon *windy*, 18C (got chilled after a couple of hours of that). We had planned to go 24 hours later, when things would be calmer, but weather report showed rain for the next day. (Typically, after a typhoon comes through, skies are bright and clear for a couple of days.)

This is "first light" for my Redcat 51. Except for a few shots to test focus and basic operation, this is the first image I have taken with it. I'm pretty pleased with the optics.
