Description

About 22.000 Lightyears away, M13 is a cluster of about 300.000 stars - Mainly stars that are much older than the sun.

In the bottom left of the frame, the galaxy NGC6207 is clearly visible... But closer to the cluster core on the same side, you can also spot a small fuzzy, which is the spiral galaxy IC4617... It doesn't look like much from here, but that's because it's nearly 500 million Lightyears behind M13 !

This evening saw some unusually quiet air, and I recorded FWHMs down to 2", which is a record for me so far, using a pixel scale of 0.85"/px.

I focused using Bathinov mask, and my scope managed to hold focus for more than 2 hours while I slept. I kept just over half the subs for this one, as I figured that for a cluster, resolution might be better than integration time.

Comments and Critiques would be appreciated!
