Description

Orion  falls behind the trees very quickly but I'm still trying to find the optimal lens/sensor to capture full nebulosity.  This is cropped to keep the trees out.  I have a vintage Helios 44-2 lens that I picked up years ago with a Zenit SLR  in Belgium on a business trip.  This was only 18 minutes of acquisition and was stacked entirely within ASIAIR.  The focus was greatly improved by stopping down to f/4.

Title: Light curve adjusted

Description: When I look at these faint images in a dark room just after I finished processing them, everythings seems so clear. Then in the daylight, all the faint wispy nebulae are gone. So I went back and re-adjusted the curve in Lightroom to pull everything back out.

Title: PI-ed

Description: Just how bad does the data have to be before PixInsight can't clean it up. I'm pushing the envelope with this one.
