Description

Interacting galaxies NGC 7769 and NGC 7771 and a small satellite of NGC 7771,  NGC 7770. The NGC 7771/7770 pair shares an extended halo and numerous tidal tails from previous interactions. The galaxies appear to be "floating" in the sea of foreground Galactic cirrus (IFN), the light radiated by interstellar dust in our Milky Way.

The data for this image was collected over several nights in September 2022 and September-October 2023 using the 250mm f/4 Lacerta PhotoNewton and ZWO ASI294MM Pro camera:

L: 44x300s (Gain 0, Bin 1x1), 64x90s (Gain 108, Bin 1x1)

G: 40x180s (Gain 108, Bin 1x1)
