Description

I went outside tonight to check the sky. It was cloudy pretty much everywhere. However I could see the Moon and it did not appear to have any clouds near it. I watched for a few minutes and there were no clouds moving around. I decided to set up my gear and try and image the Moon. I've never imaged the Moon with my Orion 120mm f/5 Refractor so I decided to use it. It took a little while to achieve a tight focus. Once I got the focus I wanted I began taking test images using different iso settings and different exposures trying to find the settings that I thought would work. After imaging only 15 minutes very low and dense clouds blew in and completely covered the sky. I could not see the Moon any longer. I sat outside and waited for about 40 minutes hoping that the sky would clear again but it never did. To say that I'm getting frustrated with this would be an understatement. Anyway enough belly aching. Please enjoy my most recent image of the Moon.
