Description

Thin cloud veils obstructing the Moon seem to have relatively little impact when imaged during closing daylight around 6:30PM with an IR-pass filter. These images are also first light for a new Astronomik ProPlanet IR642nm band-pass filter. Since 642nm are close to the wavelength of visual red, an IR742nm may have been the better choice for daylight though at the expense of longer exposure time.

6ms, gain 200, 166fps, 400 frames, mono8, 10-bit, 12-panel mosaic

Rev B: The color images of Jupiter (at opposition) and Saturn taken later on the same evening are inserted to scale. They are not good enough to qualify for a separate upload but great as insets for decoration.
