Description

This bright planetary Nebula is located 1960 light years away in the constellation of Taurus. Its angular size is 3.0'x2.9'. It was discovered in 1790 by W.Herschel.
The central star of the nebula, HD281679,  is a white giant star of the horizontal branch with a stellar classification of A0III. Its magnitude is 9.4
