Description

The Cygnus Wall needs little introduction. I set out to take a classic SHO photograph, impressed by its color and contrasts. When I judge my photographs I always think that I go overboard with color, but images like the Wall seem to drag you into a fairy-tale landscape.  In my image, above and to the right, HH655 appears in great brightness. It is a Herbig-Haro object, a small emission nebula created by a newborn star. They are short-lived objects. Just a few thousand years. HH655 lies in the small optical group that includes LkHα 186 to 189.
