Description

Object type : Supernova remnant
Distance : 5,000 lightyears

This supernova remnant is located in the constellation Gemini. It lies about 5000 lightyears from earth. They are not sure when the supernova occurred. They think between 3000 an 30,000 years ago. This nebula is bigger than the Moon in the nightsky, but it's very difficult to observe, because of it's weak brightness. I found it hard to edit this photo, because there were a lot of stars in the neighbourhood. Conditions were very good.
