Description

M8 is one of the brightest emission nebulae in the sky, with an apparent magnitude of 6, it is readily visible using a binocular, and the center star cluster NGC 6530 is visible to the naked eye under reasonably low light pollution. This image combines LRGBSHO data generated by @blackrig with the well-tuned 10" homemade reflectory as a 2 tile mosaic, with the total integrated exposure of about 28 hours.
