Description

Group AR3664, origin of the aurora borealis in France.

AR3664 has become the largest spot in this solar cycle. With its magnetic poles dangerously close together. And in the space of two days, AR3664 alone has emitted no less than five coronal mass ejections (CMEs) towards Earth.
This gave us a majestic display last night, with the Northern Lights visible all over France.
