Description

Full moon rising behind Mount Wank (1780 m)

Tip:    See version B for the full set of afocal manually taken images

Afocal freehand capture with an old 4 megapixel camera through the f=32 mm eyepiece of my fully manual Galaxy D8 Dobson (203 mm f/6) on a rockerbox, yielding approximately 38x magnification. The aerial distance from my place to the trees at the mountain ridge was about 1.7 km. This is a single shot from a moon rise series that I captured that night, see version B.

Tip:  The whole story on my site (German only)

Title: LightTable of this session

Description: This is the light table with all images taken from this moon rise behind Mount Wank. My Galaxy D8 Dobson (203mm f/6) in a rockerbox was of course manually driven: All single shots were then taken afocal handheld through a 32 mm eyepiece with an old 4 megapixels only Canon Powershot G2.
