Description

NGC7023 - The Iris Nebula is a bright reflection nebula in the constellation Cepheus. Reflection nebulae are clouds of interstellar dust that reflect the light of nearby stars. The frequency spectrum shown by reflection nebulae is similar to that of the illuminating stars. It is about 1,300 light-years away and is six light-years across.
This is an object I keep coming back to and adding in more data. I am just starting to get the very faint dark clouds that are surrounding the Reflection Nebula.
I have not done that much processing to this, other than some minor stretching and increasing the saturation to bring out what little color there is.
