This is an 28.5h RGBHOS image with RGB stars with the data collected by DeepSkyWest in Rio Hurtado, Chile, in January to March 2022.
ISO/Exposure: R: 18x600s, G: 18x600, B: 18x600s,
H: 12x1800s, O:13x1800s, S:14x1800.
Total Exposure: 28.5 hrs
A comparison of a vertically-inverted copy of the beautiful JWST first image release of the Carina Nebula NGC3324 with a very tight crop of the J. Weiss image posted here is found at:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/9906726@N08/52409895666/in/dateposted-public/lightbox/The vertically-flipped JWST image of what JWST is calling the "Cosmic Cliffs" is compared to a very small section of the upper horizontal "wall" of the NGC3324 nebula in my image. The JWST obviously shows much more structure in the gaseous filaments above the wall and primarily only the stars below the wall, inside the nebula, with its infrared gas-penetrating capability.
