Description

The Veil Nebula (also known by the Caldwell Catalog codes C 33 and C 34) is a large diffuse nebula visible in the southeastern part of the constellation Cygnus. The nebula is an ancient supernova remnant; the star that gave rise to this object exploded several millennia ago. What is now visible are very weak filaments, still expanding at a speed of tens of km/s; in the long exposure photos or with a CCD we can distinguish several filaments arranged in three main groups: the most westerly is that of NGC 6960 (C 34), in the direction of the brilliant star 52 Cygni

After doing some video processing with my astrophotographer friend Valerio Avitabile, I acquired new knowledge regarding post processing on Photoshop. This image that I show you is the fruit that emerged from our meeting. Hope you like it. I believe that due to the lack of integration and the shooting location, I am very satisfied with the result obtained.
