Description

I was in search of some old pictures of mine that I never published - cloudy weather still going on here.
I found out this very beautiful moment I had in the South Africa trip in the 2018.
I was gazing at Venus, during a quiet and romanic night - as only the beauty of the desert can be, surrounded by emptiness and the whole Universe at the same time.

This is a simple shot, and it reflects my mood in that time, I hope.
I was astonished, how dark was the Sky, reaching the ground!
Those far lights, from little villages, in my opinion add some mood and don't ruin the picture, and it's amazing how quick they disappear in the dark night.

Canon 6D (stock), Canon 24-105 L f/4 @ f/4, iso 3200, 1*20 sec.
Springbok, SA, Bortle 2.

I know it's not an iconic astrophoto - no Milky Way or nebulas here: just pure starry night. Spica and Arturo also visible.
I hope it gives the emotion of a nightscape widefield.
Thanks for watching!
