Description

Here is a mosaic of 30 panels, composed in LRGB with hybrid palettes in true and false RGB SHO colors. Raw data was captured with red, green, blue, and 5nm Halpha, OIII, and SII filters.

The raw data used was captured with the different filters over several years from 2013 to 2023.

When capturing nebulae IC405 and IC410 in 2020 comet C2020 M3 Atlas was passing by, I inserted it into the mosaic below the Flaming Star Nebula where it passed on the evening of 10.12 .2020.

The original image resolution is 298 megapixels for a field of 29° x 10°. 298 megapixels is too big for my AstroBin Premium subscription, so I had to reduce its size to upload it.

Total exposure time on all filters = 184h24m

The hybrid palette which mixes the Hubble SHO palette (SII = Red, Ha = Green, and OIII = Blue) with the RGB palette makes it possible to distinguish the distribution of gases of matter in the nebular structures while the RGB palette in true colors makes it possible to color stars and deep sky objects that are not HII zones while respecting the colors visible to the human eye.
