NGC 6888 - Crescent Nebula

Revision title: HOORGB

This one blew my mind!! This was initially supposed to be just a test integration since upwards of half the subs had oval stars, but I had not expected to see so much of the OIII shell with only 6 hours of integration, so I continued with processing. My guiding for that night stayed consistently below 0.5 arcseconds total RMS error but most of the time the RA error was 1.5 - 2x the Dec error so I expect that to be the source of the oval stars. The source of the extra RA error I'm attributing to a few things... 1. RA balanced to well 2. A slight breeze from the East at times 3. Polar alignment too perfect (0.2" RMS on Dec with almost no correction pulses)

Here's a re-edit of the original data but with RGB stars added. I shot the broadband RGB data over the same time last year but felt I didn't have the skills or tools needed to add them in in a way that I was satisfied with. But, 10 months later I'm quarantined with the 'rona and looking through my hard drives for old data to try some new processing techniques on. And it blows my mind what almost a year of improving my skills has allowed me to get out of this data! What will I be able to achieve in another year?! The difference is so drastic that I was initially torn on whether to upload it as a new image or revision, but it is merely a re-edit of the exact same masters as the original, albeit with the RGB stars added, so revision it is.

Description: I decided to re-edit to try to separate the OIII a bit more. Plus I had another 4 ish hours of data to add anyway. I was able to enhance the OIII a little but in the process I lost a little of the Ha. Not sure yet which version I like better.
