Description

This is as good as it gets for me these days.  A couple of clear nights during a near full moon.  So, I'm making the best of it.  This is actually my first time imaging the popular Heart Nebula, a beautiful emission nebula, 7500 light years away from Earth and located in the Perseus Arm of the Galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia.  The H-alpha filter at least allowed for some fine detail to be displayed in the monochrome image.  So, I was pleased with that aspect of it.  I added a colorized version, but I have no idea why.

I'm hoping to see stars once again during the upcoming new moon as I have a couple of images started but this fall has been horrendous for clear skies.
