Description

While the bout of bad weather continues well into its 3rd month, i decided to take any opportunity i could get to image this ancient visitor before it says another farewell to us. That being said, i only managed to get about 30 mins of data before the weather turned on me.

Processing this was a challenge - i'm not versed enough in removing star trails from the comet-aligned stack, resulting in a lot of trial and error until i was relatively happy with the results. I tried using DSS combined comet stack feature, however it kept coming out with both star trails and completely messed up colour channels, so the process was mainly manual in the end.

Either way, the core is nice and bright enough to require minimal stretching, and the tail (while relatively faint) can be seen as well.
