Description

I think this image is a good representation of the state of the world at the moment (WTF?).  When the moon is full and the sky clear, as is often the case, the choices for imaging are limited.  Imaging with the full moon is tricky as the bright sky adds noise to images and it limits the targets you can shoot.  At a minimum, even with narrowband filters you want to be 90 degrees away from the moon.  For us here in Nova Scotia, the moon path coincides pretty well with the Constellation Perseus rising from the East and setting to the west.  That being said, I had to pause my current images in progress and find something else to shoot.  I tried to find something I hadn't shot before around Polaris and ended up choosing this composition of NGC 7822 and the Little Rosette nebula (SH2-170).  NGC7822 is found in the Constellation of Cepheus while the Little Rosette Nebula is found in Cassiopeia.
